This is a modern Tang-style glazed pottery horse.  The only ancient sections are on the underside, in the base and round the firing hole.  These insertions are unglazed, as forgers know that samples are not normally taken in glazed areas of a piece.  When the accuracy of the initial drillings were queried, further samples were taken from several glazed areas as shown on the image below.  These proved that the horse was indeed a fake.
